MAKING DECISION
AIS offers the following three options for water disinfection and on-site chlorine generation via process of electrolysis:
1. If total dissolved solids (TDS) of the water that needs to be treated is 2000 mg/L or more please choose an Autochlor™ brand.
2. If TDS of the water that needs to be treated is between 500 and 2000 mg/L please choose Ecoline™ brand.
3. If TDS of the water that needs to be treated is below 500 please choose either Ecoline™ or Chlorogen™:
Autochlor™ is an in-line chlorine generation system that requires three ingredients to produce chlorine: Water, Electricity and Salt or seawater. Autochlor chlorine generatirs allow the use of seawater in swimming pools, which is desirable in places where fresh water is at a premium, and where resorts prefer using sea water. Using sea or ocean water makes the system more efficient thus using less electricity.
Ecoline™ is an in-line chlorine generation system that requires only two ingredients to produce chlorine - Fresh water (with small amount of mineral salts naturally present in the fresh water) and Electricity, making it suitable for water treatment with less than 500 mg/L TDS and greater than 50 mg/L. Ecoline™ is smaller in size than Chlorogen™ because it is in-line system which does not require many extra parts such as dosing pumps, storage tanks, etc.
Chlorogen™ for water treatment with less than 500 mg/L TDS is an off-line chlorine generation system that requires three ingredients to produce chlorine: Fresh water, Electricity and Salt or seawater. The Chlorogen™ works off-line and produces hypochlorite which can be injected into any water source even with TDS lower than 50 mg/L. Chlorogen will require constant supply of salt (3.5 kg of salt per 1 kg of chlorine or 100 litres of seawater per 1 kg of chlorine). Chlorogen™ is bigger in size than than Ecoline™ system because it requires extra parts for the off-line generation of chlorine (dosing pumps, saturation and storage tanks, etc.)
