Snapshot: In coming weeks, Brisbane's 19th public pool will open at Mt Gravatt East more than 120 years since the city's first public baths opened at Spring Hill. The historic Spring Hill baths remain popular with swimmers and are now used for weekly aerobics classes. The newest public pool is touted as the greenest in Australia in that it features low energy lighting and power, will use a large scale salt water chlorinator and makes use of solar heating for the building and water.
