Kerry Gosse
Managing Director; Chairperson
Prior to purchasing Australian Innovative Systems, Kerry served as a Senior Air Traffic Controller with the Department of Civil Aviation (later Dept. of Transport). In his spare time Kerry learned how to build swimming pools, establishing a small business specialising in the distribution of salt-water chlorinators. He retired from ATC in 1988, and continued to distribute salt chlorinators in Queensland for a Victorian manufacturer, where he honed his skills in repairs, technical backup and marketing.
With his extensive experience Kerry knew exactly what the industry was lacking, and in 1992 bought Australian Innovative Systems, a salt-water chlorinator manufacturing company with only three employees. His drive and vision turned the company into the world-renowned leader that it is today.
Kerry is the driving force behind the company's Research and Development. He is a leader with a refined sense of strategy and an in-depth technical knowledge.
His entrepreneurial spirit earned him a Regional Finalist position in 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) awards.
Elena Gosse
Chief Executive Officer; Company Secretary
It reads like something straight out of a novel, a successful Russian performer moves to another country not able to speak a word of English and with no tangible career on the horizon. Within eight years she is heading up a manufacturing company and being nominated for a string of prestigious business awards.
Born in Russia, Elena spent her early days embracing communist principles. This has given her a slightly different perspective than most of her Australian colleagues. She has a communal spirit, which forms the basis of her leadership style. "Success does not mean achievement for oneself; it's about people, the people we help and the people who help to make it happen."
Since joining Australian Innovative Systems Pty Ltd in 1995, her 'do as I do' attitude, vibrant personality, and business savvy have been instrumental in developing quality internal systems and processes and creating a culture that embraces esprit de corp. Elena prides her business as being the Mercedes of chlorinators. She is committed to helping women achieve in the workplace and to providing support and advice to assist the transition of migrants immigrating to Australia.
