RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Australian Innovative Systems has had over 30 years experience in the salt-water chlorination industry. A world leader, the company has long enjoyed a history of success and innovation, pioneering the industry since change of ownership in 1992. AIS is now renowned for its high quality products, competitive prices, fast delivery times and dedicated service, the company has distributors throughout Australia as well as partners serving markets all around the globe.
Over the years, AIS has made significant technological breakthroughs within their Autochlor™ product range, making the product not only world class, but in many cases a world first.
Based on product obsolescence within a five-year period, the company's technological philosophy corresponds with the minimum lifespan of the electrodes of the chlorine generators.
This philosophy lead to the development of the now well-established and proactive Research and Development team, which since 1994, has introduced three generations of products.
All RP chlorine generators are now supplied with upgraded controller card
Year: 2012
All RP chlorine generators are now supplied with upgraded controller card. Original controller (PCBRP) was replaced with a new version (ACRP). A newly developed controller allows precision calibration of the power output, more advanced firmware to combat false alarm situations, accurate low/high salt metering.
Electrode terminals at the machine end (electrode cable) are now supplied with gold plated finish
Year: 2012
Electrode terminals at the machine end (electrode cable) are now supplied with gold plated finish. This is to prolong life span of the connectors when operated in harsh environment and subject to water/acid/chlorine. Major benefit is dramatically improved electrical connection over the prolonged lifespan.
Upgrade of the power transformers, models: AC/RP
Year: 2011
Upgrade of the power transformers, models: AC/RP 35/36/50/64/92/100. Upgrade was done to allow chlorine generators to operate in commercial environment when machine are subject to continuous workload (24/7). In the past, such a load resulted in shortened life span of the power supply.
Modified hydraulics system
Year: 2011
Modified hydraulics system by replacing pump for non-mechanical, more durable, venturi system.
Modified and improved power supply for automated restarting
Year: 2011
Modified and improved power supply for automated restarting after power cuts caused by storms.
Modified and improved Acid Cleaning system
Year: 2011
Modified and improved Acid Cleaning system

Year: 2011
Developed new, more efficient, cooling system for power supply.
Developed the new lathe tool
Year: 2011
Developed the new lathe tool and performed lathe machine modification.
Developed a tool for assembly line of new electrodes
Year: 2011
Developed a tool for assembly line of new electrodes which are 9 times bigger than Autochlor electrodes.
Firmware for new control board version 5.5.1 updated.
Year: 2011
Firmware for new control board version 5.5.1 updated.
Developed a prototype of new/improved version 5.5.1 control board.
Year: 2011
Developed a prototype of new/improved version 5.5.1 control board.
Developed the LCD Data Access Board v1.0

Main Board v1.1 successfully modified to v.2.2
Year: 2011
Main Board v1.1 successfully modified to v.2.2. (Software modified according to all updates and production requirements)
AIS RS-485 protocol v1.2. Inter-module data transfer protocol has been developed
Year: 2010
AIS RS-485 protocol v1.2. Inter-module data transfer protocol has been developed for commercial and residential equipment.
New and stronger fresh water anode released into production
Year: 2010
New and stronger fresh water anode released into production for wide range of applications for water with different Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) content, so with the same anode it will be possible to cover not only fresh water but also some salt water applications (new anode can withstand various load regimes in different salinity)
Ecoline™ control logic and electronic/electrical hardware update
Year: 2010
Ecoline™ control logic and electronic/electrical hardware update, so that the same model can be universal and handle various TDS levels (wider range of fresh water and salt water applications can be treated by the same universal Ecoline™ equipment)
Autochlor™/Chlorogen™/Ecoline™ control logic and electronic/electrical hardware update
Year: 2010
Autochlor™/Chlorogen™/Ecoline™ control logic and electronic/electrical hardware update for more efficient power supply cooling (cooling fan and cooling pump start/stop logic)
Ecoline™/Autochlor™ hydraulic/plumbing modifications
Year: 2010
Ecoline™/Autochlor™ hydraulic/plumbing modifications as well as control logic and electronic/electrical hardware update, so that the same pump can do multiple actions: circulation, cooling, cleaning. This eliminated need for multiple pumps.
Autochlor™/Ecoline™ control logic and electronic/electrical hardware update for wide control output
Year: 2010
Autochlor™/Ecoline™ control logic and electronic/electrical hardware update for wide control output. Now chlorine output can be controlled from 10% to 100% by 1% increment (previously it was controlled only in a range of 30%-100% in the commercial installations).
Autochlor™/Chlorogen™/Ecoline™ enclosure upgrade
Year: 2010
Autochlor™/Chlorogen™/Ecoline™ enclosure upgrade from IP55 to IP66.
